109. Identification or other marking, operating, and safety instructions or manuals
missing.
110. Lubrication devices not accessible.
111. Brake preservation not as specified.
112. Brake system not as specified or does not function.
113. Electrical system not as specified, does not function, or is damaged.
114. Oil or grease seals leaking.
115. Bearings or gear boxes overheating.
116. Shaft misalinement.
117. Center-of-gravity height not as specified in 3.1.2 (m).
118. Electromagnetic interference suppression components not identical with approved
model.
4.6.2 Tests. Prior to test, the unit shall be lubricated with military oils and greases specified
in 3.20. Oils shall be those designated for use in the ambient temperature at which the test is
being performed.
4.6.2.1 Washing capacity.
4.6.2.1.1 Test conditions.
(a)
Operating time. The production capacity of the unit shall be computed on the basis
of the net operating time which is defined as gross operating time less allowable
down time for the following:
(1)
Delay due to lack of material delivery to the unit.
(2)
Normal machinery maintenance. (Down time due to any design deficiency
shall not be considered normal maintenance.)
(3)
Conditions considered by the contracting officer to be beyond the control of
the supplier.
(b)
Aggregate material. The aggregate delivered to the unit shall be material as
specified in 3.1.1.
(c)
Tolerance. The sized material produced shall be within the following tolerances:
(1)
For the l-inch, 1/2-inch, and 1/4-inch screens, not more than 10 percent of the
material in the over-product shall pass a screen with the same size opening
and not more than 10 percent of the material in the through-product shall be
retained on a screen with the same size opening.
(2)
The 1-1/2-inch to 1/4-inch material shall have not more than 1 percent clay
lumps when tested in accordance with SS-R-406, method 205.0.
