4.2.4 Ballistic test (proof testing).  Prior to firing, each sample
warhead shall be X-rayed for radiographic record of the condition of the
fuze and of the entire warhead.  The X-ray shall be identified by the
number of the warhead and examined by prooving ground personnel prior to
firing of accepted lot.  Each sample warhead shall be attached to an
accepted motor and fired into the designated target area.
4.2.5 Ballistic test procedure.  The M156 warhead shall be assembled
in accordance with 3.2 and function fired at 10 degrees quandrant eleva-
tion for impact on a-land range.
4.2.6  Acceptance/rejection criteria. If one or more warheads fail
to produce high-order detonation, the lot shall be rejected.
