3.5.1.5 Reverse operation.  After each division of the break-in
run, dispenser towing shall be stopped, and the dispenser pushed in
reverse (using tactical, prime mover) for a distance of not less
than fifty (50) feet (15.3 meters).  The dispenser shall then be
operated in the download mode for a period of at least fifteen (15)
minutes with the towing vehicle and dispenser stationary.
3.5.1.6 Road speed.  The dispenser shall be capable of being
towed up to a speed of thirty-five (35) mph (56.3 kmph).
3.5.1.7 Trailinq ability.  When coupled to a prime mover the
dispenser shall trail within full alignment.
3.5.1.8 Condition after run.  After completion of the break-in
run, the engine shall idle between 600 and 900 RPM.  Prior to
dispenser being submitted to the Government for acceptance, all
suspension wheel bearings shall be checked to determine if
adjustments are correct and readjusted as required.  There shall be
no defects indicative of damaged components, (i.e. wheels,
tires-launcher, and chassis), or maladjustments that may cause
faulty dispenser operation.
3.5.2 Operation.
3.5.2.1 Operating.  Dispensers shall be capable of operating
without malfunction or unserviceable parts.  Dispensers shall
operate using M79 practice mines which shall be in accordance with
MIL-M-48629(AR).
3.5.2.2 Loading.  A full complement of M79 practice mines shall
be capable of being loaded into respective magazines without
unintentional operational interruption.  The count as indicated on
the operator control panel shall correspond with the number of mines
loaded within plus or minus five (5).
3.5.2.3 Magazine reel rates.  With an engine speed of 2000 to
2100 RPM, the dispenser system warmed up as defined in 6.9.4, and a
minimum of 300 mines (see 3.5.2.1) per magazine, the left and right
magazine reels shall complete a revolution in 16.0 1.6 seconds
during load advance, unload modes, and at the maximum dispense
rate.  The magazine shall remain in a stationary position unless
loading, unloading or dispensing operations are in progress.
3.5.2.4 Launcher sweep rate.  Each full launcher sweep cycle
duration (Pattern 3) shall be three to five (3.0 to 5.0) seconds
after warmup operation as defined in 6.9.4.
3.5.2.5 Launcher oscillation angle~  full sweep.  The launcher
oscillation angle shall be 45  2.5 right, and 45 2.50 left of
central position (see 6.9.9).
