MIL-D-63303B(AR)
3.5.2.6 Launcher wheel speed.  With the wheel free spin set at
1090 + 30 RPM, the wheel velocity shall not be less than 890 RPM
when dispensing at max density while the dispenser is in the
stationary mode (see 4.6.2.13.1).
3.5.2.7 Launch range.  The launch range distance from launcher
assembly pivot centerline to impact midpoint of ten (10) mine
cluster shall not be less than one hundred five (105) feet (32.0
meters) when the wheel free spin is set in accordance with 3.5.2.6.
3.5.2.8 Pattern width and launcher aliqnment.  No mines shall
impact more than one hundred and twelve (112) feet (34.0 meters) to
full right or full left of the dispenser centerline but no less than
seventy-two (72) feet (22.0 meters) when the wheel free spin sef spin is set
in accordance with 3.5.2.6.
3.5.2.9 Automatic shutdown systems.
3.5.2.9.1 Jam mine arrest (within launcher).  After a mine has
passed the input sensor and 200 milliseconds (ms) has elaPsed
without a signal from the output sensor, the launcher wheel brake
shall activate, stopping the launcher wheel within an additional 390
ms. (Total elapsed time from sensing an incoming mine to launcher
wheel stoppage shall not exceed 590 ins.)
3.5.2.9.2 Maqazine shutdown.  Launch wheel velocity decay below
800 RPM shall cause both magazines to shut down.
3.5.2.10 Pattern selections.  The dispenser shall be capable of
operating in five (5) distinct patterns and two (2) jog positions,
using as a minimum dispersion configuration, groups D, E and F (see
3.5.3.1.2).  The resulting mine field patterns shall be within
tolerance as specified in Table II:
NOTE:
Launch distance, terrain and weather conditions may
affect the rest position of launched mines.
