4.2 Test equipment and inspection facilities . The supplier shall establish and maintain a calibration
system in accordance with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 10012-1, or equivalent system as approved by the
qualifying activity.
4.3 Inspection conditions . Unless otherwise specified herein, all inspections shall be performed in
accordance with the test conditions specified in the "GENERAL REQUIREMENTS of MIL -STD -202."
4.4 Qualification inspection. Qualification inspection shall be performed at a lab oratory acceptable to
the Government (see 6.3) on sample units produced with equipment and procedures normally used in
production.
4.4.1 Sample. The number of sample units comprising a sample of resistors to be submitted for
qualification inspection shall be as specified in the appendix to this specification.
4.4.2 Test routine. The coated or enclosed sample units will be subjected to the qualification
inspection specified in table III, in the order shown. All coated or enclosed sample units will be subjected
to the test and examinations of group I. These sample units will then be divided equally into two groups,
for groups II and III, and subjected to the tests for their particular group. The uncoated or unenclosed
sample units will be subjected to the examinations of group IV.
4.4.3 Failures . Failures in excess of those allowed in table III will be cause for refusal to grant
qualification.
