MIL-S-48755A (AR)
4.4.3 Testing.  Testing is described in the First Article and
Quality Conformance Inspection Tables.
4.4.4 Inspection equipment.  The inspection equipment required
to perform the examinations and tests prescribed herein is described
in the "paragraph Reference/Inspection Method" column in the tables
starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1.  The contractor shall submit for
approval inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms
of the contract.  See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein.
4.5 Test methods and procedures
4.5.1 Sensor assembly
4.5.1.1 Non-release of sensor assembly (For BLU-92/B mine
only).  The sensor assembly shall be mounted in a suitable
fixture/shock machine that is capable of inducing the deceleration
environment specified in 3.3 to the normally releaseable sensor
components along the axis of a conventional sensor deployment.  Any
unit in which the sleeve completely separates or begins to separate
from the case shall be classed defective.  This test is
non-destructive.  Those units meeting the requirements of this test
shall be used for the tests in 4.5.1.2, 4.5.1.3, and 4.5.1.4.
4.5.1.2 Release of sensor assembly
4.5.1.2.1  Ambient temperature (75F + 10F).  The breakwire
circuit shall be checked for continuity in accordance with 4.5.1.6.
Units which have resistance greater than 0.1 ohms shall not be
subjected to this test.  Units to be tested shall be conditioned at
the specified temperature, along with the clamp device of deployment
fixture, until all parts being conditioned are stabilized at the
specified temperature.  The test units in the clamping device shall
be placed in a suitable test fixture and the pressure specified in
3.4.1 shall be applied.  Any unit which fails to release when
pressurized as evidenced by the bobbin core being retained within
the sensor case, or in which breakwire resistance is greater than
0.1 ohms across the breakwire circuit, shall be classed defective
and shall not be repressurized.  This test is destructive.  Those
units meeting the requirements of this test shall be used for the
test in 4.5.1.3.
4.5.1.2.2 Cold temperature (Minus
- 5F). - The
breakwire circuit shall be checked for continuity in accordance with
4.5.1.6.  Units having resistance greater than 0.1 ohms shall not be
subjected to this test.  Units to be tested shall be conditioned at
the specified temperature, along with the clamp device of deployment
fixture, until all parts being conditioned are stabilized at the
specified temperature.  Within three (3) minutes after removal from
the conditioning chamber, the test unit in the clamping device shall
