3.11.l.5 Locking device. The pulley shall be provided with an
inner hub which clamps to the shaft by roving axially along a taper
in the outer hub.  The mechanical clamping shall be accomplished by
the use of a screw member or members providing for mounting and re-
moval of the pulley.
3.11.2 Frame.  The conveyor frame shall be rigid and shall support
all other components of the delivery conveyor when operating with a
load of 50 pounds per lineal foot of belt.
3.11.3 Tail pulley.  The tail pulley shall be steel, crowned, and
wing or self-cleaning type and shall be mounted on antifriction bearings.
The pulley shall be not less than 12 inches in diameter and shall be
26 inches long.
3.11.3.1 Crown.  The crown shall be approximately l/8-inch-per-
foot taper to the center of the pulley. The outside surface of the
pulley shall be concentric with the shaft within a total-indicator
reading of 0.1 inch.
3.11.3.2 Bearings.
The mounting bearings shall be as specified
in 3.11.1.2.
3.11.3.3 Locking device.  The locking device for pulley and shaft
shall be as specified in 3.11.1.5.
3.11.4 Belt carriers.  The conveyor belt shall be carried on
troughing rolls and return rolls.
3.11.4.1 Troughing rollS.  The troughing rolls shall conform to
MS16961.  Not less than three assemblies shall be located under the
receiving hopper spaced at intervals of not more than 1 foot measured
center to center.  The balance of the assemblies shall be mounted at
intervals of not more than 3 feet.
3.11.4.2 Return rolls.  The return rolls and mountings shall conform
to MS16964 and shall be spaced not more than 6 feet apart.
3.11.4.2.1 Return roll on upper run.  One return roll and mounting
conforming to MS16964 shall be mounted on the upper run of the con-
veyor ahead of the tail pulley and underneath and not more than 6 inches
to the rear of the back flashing on the receiving hopper. If the vertical
