MILITARY SPECIFICATION
VALVES, CHECK, CONTROLLABLE, HYDRAULIC, AIRCRAFT,
TYPE II SYSTEMS
This specification has been approved by the Department
of the Air Force and by the Navy Bureau of Aeronautics.
Scope. - This specification covers hydraulic controllable check valves

for use in Type II aircraft hydraulic systems conforming to and as defined in Specification
MIL-H-5440. The complete specification for these valves consists of Specification
MIL-H-8775 which covers general requirements common to all aircraft hydraulic components,
and this specification which includes additional requirements specifically applicable
to such controllable check valves.
1.2
Classification.- Controllable check valves shall be furnished in accordance
with the following standards, as specified (see 6.l):
Standard MS28764
Rotary-check valve
Plunger-type check valve
Standard MS28768
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1
The following specifications and standards, of the issue in effect on date
of invitation for bids, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein:
