4.5.8 Stool operation.  The stool shall be operated and locked in each
position of the shaft (each notch) and examined for correct interface fit. ,
The stool shall meet the requirements of 3.17.6.
4.5.8.1 Stool loading.  The fully assembled stool shall be raised to its
highest position and a minimum load of 500 pounds shall be placed on the seat
and allowed to remain for a minimum of 2 weeks.  The load shall consist of sand
bags placed on a flat, square member dimensionally greater than the greatest
diameter of the stool seat. After this time, the load shall be removed and
the stool shall be inspected and operated.  The stool shall meet the requirements
of 3.17.6.1.
4.5.8.2 Stool adjustable height. The adjustable height of the stool shall be
measured when locked in its lowest and highest position.
4.5.9 Module assembly.  The chair and stool shall be assembled using the
following sequence.  The sequence starts with the entire module packaged in the
carrying case.
Remove spring clamps on exterior portion of carrying case and remove

top portion.

Remove packaging strap that holds dentist's saddle seat and stool base (and
remove base).
Snap
Remove toe section and install on lower section of the chair seat.

tabs on bottom of toe section to seat section.
Remove connecting pin from power actuator and allow safety latch to drop

down.
Lift back section in upright position and engage connecting pin through
5.
bracket and piston assembly.  Pull back on each spring loaded arm and
engage arm supports.  (Stool supporting post and chair foot lever extension
are packaged on seat section).
Loosen wing nuts on stool base and mount stool post in opening provided.

Tighten wing nuts to secure post.  Pull out spring loaded knob on stool
supporting post and install saddle seat.
7.
Disengage seat control lever and move chair seat upward (toe section
horizontal) and engage seat control lever.
Install extension pedal on foot lever.
