g. A second compensation is permitted beginning with the
control amplifier
electronic
compensation
the
potentiometers on
positioned as in e and f (this would consist of repeating steps c, d, e,
and f).
h.
Reset the azimuth detector to each heading as tabulated, and
set the indicated heading to produce a null voltage as follows from
connector 2J2-17 to 2J2-18. The indicated heading shall agree with the
tabulation within +9 minutes.

Recenter the compensation potentiometers on the electronic
control amplifier and turn the compensation switch on the electronic
control amplifier to the OFF position.
4.6.4.5
Roll Output Signal Transmission - The roll output signal
transmission test shall be conducted as follows:
a.
Set the displacement gyroscope roll transmitter to O; the
indicated roll output at connector 2J4 shall be 0 6'.
Position the displacement gyroscope

90; the indicated roll output shall be 90 6'.
4.6.4.6 Pitch Output signal Transmission - the test specified in 4.6.4.5
shall be conducted except the displacement gyroscope pitch transmitter
shall be used and the indicated pitch output shall be monitored.
4.6.4.7 Heading Servo followup Rate - the heading servo followup rate
shall be checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to DG
Latitude control to 0
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
b.
Rotate the displacement gyroscope heading transmitter at a
rate of 60 per second minimum.
The indicated heading shall rotate
smoothly.
