Azimuth Oscillations
- Azimuth oscillations
shall be
checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to SLAVED
Latitude control to 0
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
b.
Repeat steps b through f of 4.6.4.14.1.
With zero steady-state
c.
transmitter to produce an azimuth
1 second period.
(1)
The ac voltage
remain at 6.5 1Vac.
(2)
The dc voltage from connector 2J2-17 to 2J2-18 shall
remain greater than 8.OVdc.
d.
Repeat step c with an azimuth oscillation of 2.0 with an
8 second period.
4.6.4.14.1.3 Steady-state Rate and Azimuth Oscillation - Steady-state
rate and azimuth oscillation shall be checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to SLAVED
Latitude control to 0
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
b.
Repeat steps b through f of 4.6.4.14.1.
Drive  the displacement gyroscope  heading  transmitter to
c.
produce an  azimuth  oscillation  of 0.80 with a  1 second  period
superimposed on a steady-state rate of turn of 300 per minute.
(1)
The ac voltage from connector 2J2-8 to 2J2-9 shall
decrease to less than 0.5Vac within 30 seconds.
