3.
REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Material. Material shall be in accordance with appli-
cable drawings and specifications.
3.2 Parts. The parts shall comply with all requirements
specified on drawing (dwg.) 10521905 as applicable, and with
all requirements specified in applicable specifications and
standards.
3.3 Mechanical properties. Mechanical properties specified
on the applicable drawing shall be uniform throughout each
burster casing.
3.3.1 Metal defects. The bursting casing shall be free
from cracks, splits, folds, cold shuts, inclusions, porosity or

similar defects.
3.4 First article inspection. This specification contains
technical provisions for first article inspection. Requirements
for the submission of first article samples by the contractor
shall be as specified in the contract.
3.5 Workmanship. All parts shall be fabricated and

4.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality
assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in
the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are
hereby made a part of this detail specification.
4.2 Classification of inspection. The following types of
inspection shall be conducted on this item:

First article inspection
b.
Quality conformance inspections
