3.11
All surfaces requiring lubrication shall be
a means of lubricating.
3.11.1 Lubricants. The procedure for the selection of lubricants shall be in
accordance with MIL-STD-838, section 5.  Lubricants selected shall be in
accordance with MIl-HDBK-113, chapter 2.  When the specified of the
lubricant selected includes a requirements for a Qualified Products* (QPL),
the lubricant supplied shall be from a source that is listed on the applicable
QPL (see 6.4).
3.11.2 Lubrication fittings.  Lubrication fittings shall conform to
MIL-F-3541, type I, II or III. " Fittings shall be located in protected positions.

gear cases and transmission housings which contain a reservoir of lubricants for

removed to facilitate this  accessibility.
3.11.5 Delivery lubrication service  When delivered, all components, except
those for which preservatives are specified in 5.1, shall be lubricated. Grease
lubrication, excludig lubrication of sealed bearigns, shall be with grease
conforming to MIL-G-10924 or other grease specifications listed in MIL-HDBK-113.
Unless otherwise specified herein, all components shall be filled to the
operating level with military oils designated for use in the temperatures range as
specified herein. Each lubricated component  shall  be  tagged  ina  conspicuous
place to indicate the temperature range and grades of oils and greases used.
