Control valve operating linkage protected from
road splash, debris, and obstacle damage by
guarding means.
Time delay limits min. 3-sec. to max. 8-sec.
Furnish a guarded driver's over-ride air control
on roadside front within the protection of the
drawbar.
Air control to provide 3-positions as follows:
1. Highest maximum ride height (bags fully
inflated).
2. Normal automatic ride height under control
of automatic height control valve (bags
mid-way).
3. Lowest minimum ride height on bumpers
(bags completely deflated).
As a means of reducing air consumption for
trailer chassis having fixed payloads of known
value, provide an additional lockout valve to
trap the air pressure in the suspension air bags
when closed and to provide normal, height
control valve leveling when open.
Install the lockout valve downstream of the
height control valve.
Provide plumbing of flexible hose and
reuseable swivel fittings conforming to the
same requirments as for the air brake system,
except that the driver's over-ride air control
lines may be per SAE J844, Type B nylon hose
and hose fittings.
