4.5.2.1 Support Pole. The tests specified in 4.5.2.l.3.l and 4.5.2.l.3.2
may be conducted in any order.
4.5.2.1.1 Aluminum pole.
4.5.2.1.1 Pole body and sleeve. This test shall be conducted only on
every fifth sample. The pole body and sleeve shall be tested as specified in
table IV. Nonconformance to 3.4.1 shall constitute failure of this test.

4.5.2.1.1.2 Adhesion of paint. The pole shall be tested for adhesion of
paint in accordance with FED-STD-141, method 6301.1. Nonconformance to
3.4.1.1 Shall constitute failure of test.
4.5.2.1.2 Plastic pole.
4.5.2.1.2.1 Pole body. This test shall be conducted only on every fifth
sample. The pole body shall be tested as specified in table V.
Nonconformance to 3.4.2.1 constitute failure of this test.

*Note: Pole body, tested concave side up. Width measures as chord of
arc. Measure wet Strength within 12 hours after 3-hour boil,and after
cooling for not less than 1 hour.
4.5.2.1.3 Support pole, type I and type II.
