5.1.1 Level A. - Each drogue shall be laid out flat. The vane and attached
cord shall be folded on top of the body. The drogue shall then be folded in
half along the length. Ten drogues, alternately reversed, shall be stacked
to form a compact bundle and securely tied with twine conforming to type I or
II, 8-ply of T-T-871. The bundle shall measure approximately 8-1/2 inches in
length, 4-1/2 inches in width, and 3-3/4 inches in depth.
* 5.1.2 Level C. - Drogues shall be packaged to afford adequate protection
against damage shipment from the supply source to the first receiving
activity. The supplier may use his standard practice when it meets this
requirement.
5.2 Packing. - Packing shall be level A, B or C as specified (see 6.2).
* 5.2.1 Level A. - Seven hundred and fifty drogues, packaged as specified in
5.1, shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container conforming to style
RSC-L, V3C or V3s of PPP-B-636. The inside of each PPP-B-636 shipping con-
tainer shall be fitted with a taped liner conforming to type CF, class domestic,
variety SW, grade 275, of PPP-B-636. Alternatively, shipping containers shall
conform to style RSC, V13C of MIL-B-43291. Level A packages shall be packed
flate, three in length, five in width, and five in depth within a shipping
container. Inside dimensions of each shipping container shall approximate
25-1/2 inches in length, 22-1/2inches in width, and 18-3/4 inches in depth.
Approximate dimensions are furnished as a guide only. Each container shall
have the contents completely covered on the top and bottom with a sheet of
30 pound minimum basis weight kraft paper conforming to grade E of UU-P-268.
Each container shall be waterproofed in accordance with the appendix of
PPP-B-636. Each shipping container shall be closed and reinforced wihth flat
steel strapping or tape banding in accordance k with the appendix of the applic-
able container specification.
5.22 Level B. - Seven hundred and fifty drogues, packaged as spedcified
in 5.1, shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container conforming to
style RSC-L, type Cp or SP, class domestic, variety SW, grade 275 of PPP-B_636.
The inside of each shipping container shall be fitted with a taped liner
conforming to type CF, class somestic, vaiety SW, grade 275 of PPP-B-636.
Level A packages shall be packed flat, three in length, five in width, and
five in depth within a shipping container. Inside dimensions of each shipping
container shall approximate 25-1/2 inches in length, 22-1/2 inches in width,
and 18-3/4 inches in depth. Approximate dimesions are furnished as a guide
only. Each container shall have the contents completely covered on the top
and  bottom with a sheet of 30 pound minimum basis weight draft paper conforming
to grade B of UU-P-268. Each shipping container shall be closed method II in
accordance with the appendix of the container specificaiton.
