4.4.2.2 Dimensional examination. - Inspecion shall be made of the end
item for compliance with dimensions and tolerances specified in the applicable
specification or drawing. Any deviation therefrom shall constitute a defect.
4.4.2.3 Inspection levels and acceptable quality levels (AQLs) for
examinations. - Inspection levels and acceptable quality levels (AQLs), ex-
pressed in defects per hundred units, shall be as follows:

4.4.3 Examination of preparation for delivery. - An examination shall be
made to determine compliance with the packaging, packing and marking require-
ments specified in section 5 of this specification. Defects shall be scored
as specified below. Shipping containers submitted for examination shall be
fully prepared for delivery, with the exception that containers need not be
sealed or closed. Examination shall be made in two phases; first an interior
examination, and second, an examination of containers fully prepared for
delivery. The sample. unit for each of the two phases shall be one container
prepared for delivery as set forth above. The inspeciton level shall be S-2
and the acceptable quality level (AQL) shall be 6.5 defects per hundred units.
