4,6.4 Door blower switch test (deactivation),  With the door closed set the
timer to 10 minutes and start the drying cycle.  After three minutes of
operation open the door.  The burner shall deactivate and the tumbler shall stop
rotating, but the burner exhaust blower shall continue to operate for an
additional 60 seconds.  Any nonconformance with the requirements of 3,6.3 or
3.6,4 shall constitute failure of this test. NOTE:  Purge control relay may
require adjustment to pass requirements.
4.6.5 Post-purge control test.  With the door closed set the timer to 3
minutes and start the drying cycle,  At the end of the cycle the burner shall
deactivate and the end of cycle signal shall sound. Press the stop button,  The
tumbler shall stop rotating but the burner exhaust blower shall continue to
operate for an additional 60 seconds ( 5 seconds).  Any nonconformance with the
requirements of 3.6.4 shall constitute-failure of this test.
4.6.6 High limit control test.  The operating thermostat shall be electri-
cally bypassed.  The dryer shall be activated and operated.  At 275 5F the
burner shall deactivate but the burner exhaust motor shall continue to operate
for an additional 60 seconds.  Any nonconformance with the requirements of 3.6.5
shall constitute failure of this test.
4.6.7 Operating control test,  Activate the dryer unit for 15 minutes.  Set
the operating control at 135F.  Within 5 to 10 minutes, the required temper-
ature shall be reached and the burner shall shut down.  Read the temperature
gauge located in the hot air exhaust piping.  Repeat the above procedure for
200F and 250F.  Any nonconformance with the requirements of 3.6.6 shall
constitute failure of this test.
4.6.8 Flame failure, initial start lockout test.  The fuel valve shall be
manually closed and the dryer shall be started and tested for initial flame
lockout.  Any nonconformance with the lockout time or sequence specified in
3.6.7.1 shall constitute failure of this test,
4,6.9 Firing period lockout test.  The dryer shall be started and operated
for more than 2 minutes.  The manual fuel valve shall be closed and the unit
shall be tested for flame failure during the firing period.  Any nonconformance
with the lockout times or sequence specified in 3.6.7.2 shall constitute failure
of this test,
4.6,10 Flame, signal test.  An ac/dc multimeter with a 20,000 elm/volt dc
rating shall be connected to the test jacks of the flame safeguard control,
When the flame is detected a steady reading of 5 to 6 volts dc shall be
obtained.  The dryer shall be started and operated for more than 2 minutes,  The
manual fuel valve shall then be closed.  The time from when the flame is
extinguished until the reading is O volts shall not be more than 6 seconds.
When the flame is extinguished and the ignition spark is on for ignition retrial
the reading shall be O volts.  Any nonconformance with the control requirements
of 3.6.8 shall constitute failure of this test,
