4.6.3.2 Interplant. Feeders to subjected to the interplant
interchangeability test shall be inspected for timing, (see 4.5.2.2.5)
torque, (see 4.5.2.2.6) and functioning requirements using the in-
spection methods specified in 4.6.1 to assure proper operations be-
fore parts are interchanged. Fenders shall be interchanged in a
manner similar to the detailed plan specified in 4.6.3.1.1 except
that when disassembling, every other feeder shall be one produced by
a different manufacturer. After assembly, the feeders shall be in-
spected for timing, torque, and functioning requirements using the
inspection as specified herein. Before feeders are returned to the
contractors, the original parts shall be reassembled to their re-
spective feeders.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY.
5.1 Pilot pack. The pilot pack shall consist of a complete
feeder packaged in accordance with Packaging Data Sheet P5910556 for
the level of protection specified in the contract (see 6.1), packed
level C and forwarded in accordance with 3.1.
5.2 Preservation, packaging, packing and marking. Feeders shall
be preserved, packaged, packed and marked in accordance with Packaging
Data Sheet P5910556 for the level of protection specified in the con-
tract (see 6.1).
5.3 Repair parts. Repair parts shall be preserved, packaged,
packed and marked in accordance with the Packaging Data Sheet or other
requirements and for the level of protection specified in the contract
(see 6.1).
6. NOTES
6.1 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the
following:
(a) Title, number, and date of the specification.
(b) Lists of drawings and specifications pertinent to the
feeder, showing applicable revision dates.
(c) Inspection criteria for components (see 4.5.2.1 and
4.5.3.5).
(d) Index of inspection equipment lists pertinent to the
feeder, showing applicable revision dates.
(e) Shipping instructions for first article and pilot pack
(see 3.1 and 5.1).
(f) Requirements for copies of drawings of contractor-
designed inspection equipment (see 4.5.6.2).
