Test facility.
4. 8.1.4.1
The vibration tests shall be
a.
Vibration exciter system.
q
performed on a vibration exciter system capable of shaking the
Transverse
FCC-FTS at the specified amplitudes and frequencies.
action of the exciter (unloaded) shall be less than 20 percent of
the input motion and the hUarmonic wave distortion of the fundamental
frequency shall not exceed 10 percent.

Test Conditions
Resonant Search 5-55 Hz (each of
1.
3 axes) non-operating (2 increments)
Resonant Dwell (each of 3 axes)
2.
non-operating
Sinusoidal Cycling 5-55 Hz (each of
3.
3 axes) non-operating :
b. Accelerometer , control. The accelerometer used to measure
and control the input acceleration to the test specimen shall be
rigidly attached to the base plate of the test specimen vibration
fixture, using the stud normally supplied or by cementing in place
using Eastman 910 or dental adhesives. The accelerometer shall be
positioned as close as possible to the attachment points of the
TCC-FTS to the fixture. The frequency response of the control
accelerometer should be flat within + 5%, 5 Hz to 3 KHz at room
ambient temperature.
Test fixture. The holding fixture for the FCC-FTS hshall it
co
simulate the normal installation as nearly as possible. T at is
shall have, 1) provisions for attachment of its base plate directly
to the vibration exciter head or the horizontal slip table, and 2)
provisions for the rigid attachment of the FCC-FTS to the base plate.
4.8.1.4.2 Vibration test equipment. The test equipment listed
in Table XII will be required to conduct the vibration tests. All
measurements shall be made with instruments whose accuracy and
calibration has been verified periodically and meet specification
requirements.
