4.5.35.1 No-test conditions. Some ballistic firings may
result in conditions that do not properly test fuze time delay
function.
If the following conditions occur during a test
firing, that launch will be scored as a "no test."
The rocket hits the ground before the maximum time delay

for that time setting occurs.
The fuze is not charged properly due to malfunctioning

of the setter or the connecting cables.
4.5 .35.2 Acceptance criteria. There are two different
ballistic firing test set configurations used for the ballistic
firing test. one contains a M138 helicopter setting system and
car, be recognized by the red illuminated display panel when the
unit is powered up. The other contains a XM147 helicopter
setting system and can be recognized by the blue-green
illuminated panel when the unit is powered up. The Table VI
below lists the range settings (nominal set times) and acceptance
criteria for each of the units.

Rejection criteria.
4.5.35.3.1 First article sample. If a total of four (4) or
more units do not meet the function time delays of 4.5.35.2 or
fail the charge circuit continuity test, the sample shall be

S&A arming, or if three (3) or more failures are duds, the sample
shall be rejected. Functions upon S&A arming are failed units
that functioned at less than 1 sec after motor ignition. Duds
are failed units other than those that do not meet the function
time delays or fail the charge circuit continuity test.
