REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Materials.- Materials shall be in accordance with
applicable draeings and specifications.
3.2 Fuze Assemblies and Parts.- the fuze assemblies and
parts shall comply with all requirements specified on drawings
8883683, 8883745, 9254708 or 9260701 (which is applicable) and
associated drawings and with all requirements specified in
applicable standards and specifications. Ambient temperature is
defined as 70F 15F unless otherwise specified.
3.3 Explosive Pellets.- The RDX and Explosive Composition
A5 pellets shall meet the requirements of MIL-P-45486 with the
exception that the composition of the Explosive Composition A5
shall be in accordance with MIL-E-14970.
3.4 Radiographic Inspection.- Fuzes shall be radiographer
perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. Inspection for armed or
partially armed fuzes and inspection for broken or missing
components may be made simultaneously.
3.6 Ballistic Firing.
a. The M423/M427 fuze shall cause the warhead to
detonate high order upon impacting natural ground surface.
