MILITARY SPECIFICATION

FUZES, GENERAL PURPOSE GRENADE: M230 AND M231 (PRACTICE)

This specification is approved for use by the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical

Command, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of

Defense.

1. SCOPE

1.1. Scope This specification covers the requirements, examinations, and tests for the

M230 and M231 Fuzes with detonator, used with the M73 GP Grenade and M75 GP Grenade,

respectively. It covers quality assurance provisions and special test requirements not covered by

the drawings for parts, assembly and packaging of the fuzes. (see 6.1).
