3. 4.9.2 Program Changes - P rog ram Changes shall be noted by a change
in the publications Code Number.
3. 4.9.3 Film-Tape End Identification - The Film-Tape leader and trailer
ends shall be as specified in Figure 4.
3. 4.9.4 Film Edge Markings - Unless specified to the contrary by the
procuring acitivity, manufacturer's code designations will be permitted,
provided the marking is confined to within 0. 079 inch of the film edge.
3.4.10 Tape Ends - The leader end of each Film-Tape shall have reference
marks in accordance with Westinghouse drawing 578R309 to ensure proper
registration when the Film-Tape is spliced to the tape transport leader
(Figure 4).
3.4.11 Film-Tape Spools - Spool Part Number 617R03 O or equivalent shall
be used for the BIT Programmer Film-Tapes. Spool Part Number 511R736
or equal shall be used for FIM Film-Tapes.
3.4, 12 Film-Tape Storage - The spooled film shall be enclosed in a commer-
cial grade polyethylene bag and placed in a container as specified in paragraph
5.2 for storage when not in use.
3.4, 13 Film-Tape Winding - Production Copy Film -Tapes shall be wound
as follows:
3. 4.13.1 Semiautomatic Built-In-Test Film-Tapes - These Film-Tapes,
starting from the rear end, shall be wound on a Spool (3. 4. 11) with the
message edge of the film on the slotted side of the Spool. The Film-Tape
shall be wound in a counterclockwise direction around the Spool (viewed
from the slotted end) such that the emulsion side of the Film-Tape is to-
ward the Spool.
