4.3.3 Failure criteria. Should failure occur during or following the
examination and tests of 4.3.1 or 4.3.2, the following action shall be taken by
the contractor:
a. A failure report shall be prepared, a failure investigation shall be
conducted, the cause of failure shall be determined, and corrective
action shall be recommended.
b. Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractorshall repair the
equipment and resubmit the equipment to the applicable test and inspec-
tion requirements. The procuring activity may elect to waive any or all
retest/inspection requirements (see 6.2).
