MILITARY SPECIFICATION
INTERCOMMUNICATION
STATIONS
NAVAL SHIPBOARD
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. - This specification covers LS-518( )/SIC and LS-519( )/SIC intercommunication stations
for use in Naval shipboard announcing systems.
1.2 Classification. - The intercommunication stations shall be of the following types as specified
(see 6. 2). The type designation for the intercommunication stations contains parentheses which are to be
replaced by a letter indicating a particular make or model that differs from previous production. Nomen-
clature shall be requested as required by MIL-E-21981.
1.2.1 Type LS-518( )/SIC. - Type LS -518( )/SIC station shall be suitable for installation in protected
locations and shall be capable of selecting 10 other stations in any combination of at least 2 stations re -
gardless of type.
1.2.2 Type LS-519( )/SIC. - Type LS-519( )/SIC station shall be suitable for installation in protected
locations and shall be capable of selecting 20 other stations in any combination of at least 2 stations re-
gardless of type.
