of the following tests the intervalometers shall be subjected to the bypass
tests as specified in 4.4.8, and the electrical tests as specified in 4.4.6.
4.4.9.1 Humidity test.  The intervalometer shall be tested in
accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 507, Procedure I. At the end of cycle
5 and cycle 10, the sample shall be examined visually for damage or defects
and the Simulated Firing Test shall be performed.
4.4.9.2 Sand and Dust Test.  The intervalometer shall be tested in
accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 510. Immediately upon completion of the
environmental conditioning, the sample shall be examined visually for
damage or defects and the Simulated Firing Test shall be performed.
4.4.9.3 Shock test.  The intervalometer shall be tested in accordance
with MIL-STD-81O, Method 516, Procedure IV, Figure 516-2, Amplitude A,
Duration C. For this environmental exposure, one intervalometer shall be
placed in the load position with power applied, and the other intervalometer
shall be placed in the arm position with no power applied. Immediately upon
completion of environmental conditioning, the samples shall be visually
examined for damage or defects and the Simulated Firing Test shall be per-
formed. Any inadvertent advance of the intervalometer or malfunction shall
be cause for rejection.
4.4.9.4 Salt fog test.  The intervalometer shall be tested in accordance
with MIL-STD-810, Method 509. Immediately upon completion of the environmental
conditioning, the sample shall be visually examined and the Simulated Firing
Test shall be performed. Following a 48 hour dry period, these tests shall
be repeated.
4.4.9.5 Acceleration test.  The intervalometer shall be tested in
accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 513, Procedure II, Table 513-II.
During each orientation in each axis, the Simulated Firing Tests shall be
performed. Immediately upon completion of the environmental conditioning
with the temperature maintained, the sample shall be visually examined
for damage or defects and the Simulated Firing Test shall be performed.
4.4.9.6 Life test.  The intervalometer shall be connected to a
power source at 28 0.5 VDC and functioned for the life test. The
unit shall be functioned 400 complete sequence cycles in ripple mode
and 400 complete sequence cycles in single mode to give a total of
800 complete cycles. The duty cycle for single mode operation shall be
1 second "on" and 5 seconds "off". At the completion of the 800 cycles,
the Simulated Firing Test shall be repeated. The sample shall also be
