TEST METHOD NO. 3
HIGH TEMPERATURE TEST
a.
Service the loader with applicable lubricants for +160F
operation including engine oil, transmission oil and drive train lubricants,
b.
Check the specific gravity of each battery cell to insure full
charge.
Subject the loader to steps (1) through (6) of MIL-STD-81O,
c.
Method 501, Procedure II.
Subject the loader to an ambient temperature of +125F until
d.
all parts and lube oil have stabilized at +125F. Perform the test
after stabilization is assured by temperature readings of +125F from
thermocouples located as follows:
(1) In the engine lubricating oil gallery and in the oil
sump.
(2) In the hydraulic reservoir,
Maintain +125F ambient temperature throughout the entire

test.
One operator shall perform all priming and starting operations.

Crank the engine using the loader battery that is stabilized
g.
at +125F, Substitute or supplementary batteries or other electrical
cranking energy shall not be used.
Smooth engine running without unnatural or continued control

manipulation and without use of primers and priming fluids should be
obtained within 15 minutes after starting,
