TEST METHOD NO.3
EMERGENCY HAND PUMP FUNCTIONAL TEST
TEST PROCEDURES:
Alert crew that launcher is going to be raised.

b. Set the hand pump manual four-way valve to the RAISE
position. Operate the manual hand pump to elevate the launcher
The launcher support shall raise opening the launcher doors to
detent position and continue raising until it contacts its stop
at the aft end of the launcher housing. Continue operation of
the manual pump to rotate the launcher rack until the mechancal
pendulum pointer is positioned over the scribed line on the
pendulum dial.
Alert crew that launcher is going to be lowered.

d. Rotate the manual four-way valve handle to the LOWER
position and lower the launcher to the stowed position by
operating the hand pump.The launcher shall rotate to its
maximum downward position and then the launcher support will
lower to its stowed position within the launcher housing. During
lowering, cams on the support will engage the launcher door cam
followers, release the door detents and close the doors. Turn
the manual four-way value to the OFF position.
e. Make certain the hand pump manual control valve located
above the hydraulic power supply for the kits is in the OFF posi-
tion.
