5.2.1.13 Wire-rope cables. Wire-rope cables shall be coated with type
P-1 preservative. After the preservative has dried, loose cables shall
be individually coiled and the coils shall be secured with evenly spaced
wire ties l
5.2.1.14 Drum and rotary elevator. All exterior unpainted metal
surfaces of the drier drum- rotary elevators drum tires, trunnion,
thrust rollers, sprockets, and unpainted metal surfaces within the
drum and the rotary elevator, including the lifting flights, shall be
coated with type P-l preservative.
5.2.1 .15.1 Combustion chamber and cone. All unpainted metal surfaces
of the combustion chamber and cone, brackets, dampers, cover plates,
and similar items shall be coated with type P-1 preservative. Openings
into the combustion chamber and cone shall be covered with tape conforming
to PPP-T-60, type I.
5.2.1 .15.2 Burner. The interior surfaces of the burner shall be
coated with type P-10, grade 1 preservative, and all openings into
the burner shall be sealed with tape conforming to PPP-T-60, type I.
Unpainted exterior surfaces of the burner shall be coated with type
P-1 preservative.
5.2.1 .15.3 Fuel tank, pump, preheater, piping, and valves. All interior
surfaces of the fuel tank, pump, preheater, rotors, rotor shafts, vaues,
vane slots, oil passages, piping, valves, springs, and similar parts
shall be coated with type P-10, grade 1 preservative. The pump shall be
actuated during application of the preservative to insure complete
shall be drained. All unpainted exterior surfaces of the fuel pump,
preheater, piping, and valves shall be coated with type P-1 preservative.
All openings to the interior of the system shall be sealed with tape `
conforming to PPP-T-60, type I.

Temperature indiactor. The temperature indicator shall be
