ing to Drawings F11738174, F11738175, F11738176 and F11738177 (see 2.1).
Each interchangeability gage shall be capable of being firmly secured
and subsequently removed from the mount assembly.
4.6.11.2 Interchangeability - pressure retention.- This test shall
be performed utilizing pressure test fixtures conforming to Drawings
F11738180, F11738181, F11738182 and F11738183 (see 2.1), together with
special testing equipment to perform the sealing test.  The special test-
ing equipment to test the sealing of the mount when a head and body are
assembled to it shall conform to the internal pressure test requirements
of Sheet 1 of Drawing F8565556, Pressure Tester - Two Station, except
that the regulator shall conform to the requirements for use of dry air.
Assemble the Mount Assembly 10513360 to the Pressure Fixtures 11738181
and 11738183.  Secure the poppet valve in the head fixture in a closed
position and pressurize the assemblies through the valve in the body
fixture with clean dry air to the value specified in 3.10.2. Retain
the applied pressure in the assemblies for a minimum of 2 hours. At
the end of the 2 hour period, there shall be no evidence of leakage,
as indicated on the pressure gauge of the testing equipment.  Upon comple-
tion of test, open the poppet valve. Repeat the above with Mount 10513360
assembled to Pressure Fixtures 11738180 and 11738182. The mount shall
conform to the requirements of 3.10.2.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY

5.1 Packaging, packing and marking.- Packaging, packing and marking
shall be in accordance with Packaging Data Sheet 10513360. The level of
protection shall be as specified in the procurement document.
6.
NOTES
6.1 Intended use.- The Periscope Mount 10513360 is primarily
intended to support the Tank Periscope XM44, XM44E1 and XM44E2 in the
Sheridan Vehicle M551.
6.2 Ordering data.- Procurement documents should specify the following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification
b.
Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packaging
and packing
c. Applicable stock number
d.  Applicable packaging data sheet number (see 5.1)
e.  Provisions for First Article testing
