3.12.2 Hazardous dud. All safe duds when tested as specified
in 4.5, shall not be capable of functioning after the maximum
self-destruct time has elapsed.
3.13 Test temperatures and conditioning. The loaded
munitions, shall be temperature conditioned for a minimum of four
(4) hours prior to testing. Temperature conditioning temperatures
are as follows:
a. Minus twenty-five degrees Faharenheit, minus five
degrees Fahrenheit (-25F, -5F.
b. Seventy degrees Fahrenheit plus or minus ten degrees
Fahrenheit (+70, 10F).
One hundred and forty-five degrees Fahrenheit, plus five
degrees Fahrenheit (+145F, +5F).
3.14 Munition arming. Arming of demonstration mines will be
accomplished by removal of the arming lever which results in
battery initiation, shearing of the shorting bar and removal of
the S&A safety pin. The Arming Assembly, shall comply with the
requirements of Dwg. 12579595 and MIL-A-70780.
3.15 Qualification testing of electrical components. The
components of the electronics assembly (P/N 9366692) that require
qualification by electrical and mechanical testing are as follows:
Components that were qualified in previous contracts for the
Molded Assembly do not require requalification except as specified
in 3.16.1.
3.16.1 Qualification of components. Qualification of the
components listed above shall be accomplished by, recommendation
of the contractor for approval by the Government's technical
agency.
