MIL-N-81207A(AS)
display shall be sustained for a memory period of 8 to 12 seconds
after signal loss.  Memory shall be of the velocity type.  If the
tracked signal returns during the memory period, tracking shall
resume.  If the tracked signal has not been received at the end of
the memory period, search shall be initiated.
Bearing Memory - The equipment shall delay 3 to
3.4.22.2
8 seconds before searching for a lost bearing signal which had
been present previously for at least 15 seconds.
Beacon Identification - In the REC and T/R
3.4.23
modes, the equipment shall provide intelligible and unambiguous
aural identification of the-selected beacon with a 10 dB signal
plus noise-to-noise power ratio within the range of RF signal
strength of -90 dBm to 0 dBm.  The beacon shall be identifiable by
a Morse coded audio tone of 1350 Hz.
Equalizer Pair - The equipment shall not
3.4.24
require that equalizer pulse pairs (per MIL-STD-291) be received
for proper operation of the identity function.
Outputs
3.4.25
RF Input-Output - The RF input and output shall
3.4.25.1
provide for a common connection to a 52 ohm coaxial line. The
receiver and transmitter shall not be damaged under any mismatched
conditions.

Receiver-Transmitter, TACAN RT-1022/ARN -84(V)
3.5.1
The Receiver-Transmitter shall meet the following requirements.
Function - The Receiver-Transmitter shall
3.5.1.1
encode and transmit interrogation pulses, reply pulses, squitter
pulses, data link pulses and main reference bearing pulses. The
Receiver-Transmitter shall receive and process RF TACAN signals
and provide digital data for use by the Converter.  The Receiver-
Transmitter shall also transpond to the interrogation pulses of
the similarly equipped aircraft.  It shall transmit single pulse
replies to as many as five such interrogating aircraft provided
their signal strengths are within 12 dB of each other at the
receiver input terminal.
Operation- In addition to the operations
3.5.1.1.1
described in 3.4.1,
The Receiver-Transmitter shall perform the
