3.5.6
The Control shall meet the applicable requirements of
Specification MIL-C-6781 for Type 1 control panel. The lighting
of the plastic panel shall conform to MIL-P-7788, Class 1-R, Type
IV with a lamp voltage of 5 volts. The Control shall meet the
requirements of 3.5.5.1 through 3.5.5.7 inclusively.

3.5.7
Function - The functions of the Signal Data
3.5.7.1
Converter shall be to:
Transform digital inputs from the
(1)
Receiver-Transmitter to synchro format to
operate the aircraft instruments.
Furnish signals for the AN/ASW-27 Data
(2)
Link Set; specifically range and bearing,
in analog form, station number in natural
binary form, and discretes.
Provides the interface to transform
(3)
parallel inputs from the Receiver-
Transmitter to serial data outputs for use
by an external computer.
Form Factor - The form factor of the Signal

Data Converter shall be in accordance with Figure 2.
Weight - The weight of the Signal Data

Converter shall not exceed 11 pounds.
Contents - The Signal Data Converter shall

(2) Interface Module
(3) Range Coupler Module
(4) Bearing Coupler Module
Controls - The Signal Data Converter shall not

contain any controls or Indicators other than an elapsed time

Analog Bearing Outputs - The equipment shall

provide analog bearing outputs for display on any combinations of
three ID-663/U, ID-1013A, or AQU-4A Indicators. A bearing output
