Contents - The Control shall contain the following major

Command Word - The Control shall provide three
3.5.4.4.1
Command Words, 1 through 3, as presented in Figure 11. The number of
word pairs (NOWP) shall indicate the symbol data that is to be transmitted.
Whenever the Command Words are transmitted, the Scale Factor data must
also be transmitted.  NOWP shall be in binary-2 code from 2 through 32
as shown in Figure 11.

3.5.4.4.2
Symbology - The Control shall provide electronic

signals to the Tactical Data Display IP-886A/ASA-66 (or equivalent) to
generate the following symbology:
3.5.4.4.2.1.1 Scale Factor - This shall be a four digit numeric as
dictated by Input Data Words 4-7.  The numerals shall be 0.125" high
with a width to height ratio of 3:4.  Spacing between numerals shall be
approximately 1/2 the numeral width. The numerals shall be located in
the 6 o'clock position near the perimeter of the display (See Figure
12).
3.5.4.4.2.1.2 Aircraft - ThiS symbol shall be a circle with a line
extending from its center.  The center of the circle represents aircraft
position; the line direction represents aircraft ground track. The
circle shall be 0.25" diameter.  The line shall be 0.50" long. The
center of the circle shall be positioned as dictated by Input Data Words
8 and 9.  The line shall extend from the center at an angle as dictated
(See Figures 13 and 14.)
by Input Data Words 10 and 11.
3.5.4.4.2.1.3 Fly to Point - This symbol shall be an "X". The "X"
shall consist of two 0.35" lines intersecting each other at 90 degrees
and intersecting the vertical or Y axis of the display at 45 degrees.
The intersection of the lines shall be as dictated by Input Data Words
12 and 13.  (See Figure 15.)
3.5.4.4.2.1.4 Markers -  A marker shall be shown by a dot followed
by two numerals.  The dot shall indicate the marker location and be
positioned as dictated by Input Data Words 16-61 in successive word
pairs, with one pair for each marker.  The numerics shall be 0.125" high
with a width to height ratio of 3:4.  Spacing between the dot and numerics
and between the two numerals shall be approximately 1/2 the numeral
width.  The dot shall be located at the mid-point of the numeral height.
