6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the
following :
6.2.1 Procurement requirements.
a.
Title, number, and date of this specification.
Shipping instructions for bid samples (see 3.1).
b.
Marking, if other than as specified (see 3.3).
Place of final inspection and acceptance (see "Notes" in
d.
MIL-w-13855).
Responsibilities for furnishing acceptance equipment (see
e.
4.5.4.1).
f.
Responsibility for furnishing ammunition (see 4.5.4.2).
Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packaging
g.
and packing (see 5.1).
h.
Disposition of Government furnished property.
6.2.2 Contract data requirements. Monthly reports of the results
of final examination and functional testing shall be specified for delivery
on a DD Form l423 included in the contract.
6.3 Work programing for examination and testing of manufacturing
models should be affected with the testing agency at the earliest
practicable date (see 3.2).
6.4 Pistols submitted on bid samples shall be of the latest
commercially available design of each manufacturer.
6.5 The term "hammerless pistol" denotes a pistol with an in-
closed hammer or a pistol that does not utilize a hammer in the firing
mechanism.
6.6 When warranted, the contract should specify the application
of MIL-Q -9858 or MIL-I-45208, as appropriate On the Management COntrol
Systems Summary List, DD Form 1660.
6.7 Supersession data. This specification includes the require-
ments of Springfield Armory Purchase Description, SAPD-232, dated
9 October 1962.
