3.10  Color.  The color of the molding compound in the housing,
timing and fuzing shall be within the range of colors bounded by
color numbers 34079 and 34102, inclusive, of FED-STD-595.
Mine functions.
3.11
3.11.1 Anti-disturbance functioning.  The mine shall function
in the anti-d isturbance mode when the mine is disturbed by two (2)
different movements to two (2) different adjacent faces.
3.11.2  Breakwire functioning.  The mine shall function in the
breakwire mode when any deployed tripline is pulled with a minimum
force of one hundred and forty grams (140 g.).
3.11.3 Self-destruct functioning.  The mine shall be capable of
self-destructing itself within t he required time limits for either a
Type I or Type II device.
3.11.4  Early functioning.  The mine shall not self-destruct
prior to activation by any internal mode within the minimum
self-destruct time period.
3.12  Tripline deployment.  The mine after ground impact shall
deploy a minimum of three (3) triplines with at least one (1)
deployed tripline attaining a minimum deployed length of thread of
ten (10) feet.
3.13
Duds.
3.13.1 Safe dud.  The mine, if not functioned by any external
or internal mode, shall not function after the maximum self-destruct
time has elapsed.
3.13.2  Hazardous dud.  All safe duds when tested as specified
in 4.5, shall not be capable of functioning after the maximum
selfdestruct time has elapsed.
3.14  Test temperature and conditioning.  The loaded
projectiles, non-hazardous, shall be temperature conditioned for a
minimum of twenty-four (24) hours prior to firings.  Temperature
conditioning and firing temperatures are as follows:
a.  Minus twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit, minus five degrees
Fahrenheit (-25F, -5F).
b.  Seventy degrees Fahrenheit plus or minus ten degrees
Fahrenheit (+70F, 10F).
One hundred and forty-five degrees Fahrenheit, plus five
degrees Fahrenheit (+145F, +5F).
