4.5.14 Non-hazardous mine loading. The mine shall be loaded by
a Government approved loading plant as designated by the contracting
officer. Mines shall be loaded in accordance with drawing number
9298399 and MIL-T-70638.
4.5.15
Mine functioning.
4.5.15.1 Anti-disturbance functioning. The sample selected for
antidisturbance functioning shall be tested in the following manner.
a.
The sample under test shall be tested as follows:
(1) If the mine is resting on an end face, rotate it to an
adjacent slant face or arc face.
(2) If the mine fails to function on the first movement,
it shall be moved a second time to adjacent face. If the mine
is currently resting on a slant face, it can be moved to
either the other slant face or end face not previously
encountered in the first movement. If the mine is resting on
the arc face it shall be rotated to the end face not
encountered during the first movement.
b.
All data shall be recorded.
c. If the mine fails to function, it shall be tested for
breakwire activation in accordance with 4.5.15.2a through
4.5.17.2e.
d. If the mine fails to function, another tripline from the
adjacent breakwire circuit shall be randomly selected and tested
in accordance with 4.5.15.2a through 4.5.15.2e.
e. If the mine fails to function self destruct it shall be
tested in accordance with 4.5.17 for the hazardous dud
requirements of 3.13.2 (Destructive test).
f. The data acquisition shall include as a minimum,
functioning, face mine is resting on after election from
projectile, and face(s) involved in function movements. All
data acquisition shall refer back to mine number identification.
4.5.15.2 Breakwire functioning. The sample selected for
breakwire functioning shall be tested in the following manner:
a. The sample to be tested shall be restricted from any
movement.
