4.5.2.3.1.5 Power source.  The regulated power supply specified in 4.5.3
shall be utilized to energize the periscope and reticle projector.  The pri-
mary power input of 6.5 +.25 VDC shall be applied in positive polarity to the
applicable connectors of the Cable Assembly 11748430, terminals on the peri-
scope body assembly and to connect the tube assembly and reticle projector
contact to the regulated power supply.
4.5.2.3.2 Accuracy.  The special testing equipment utilized for the fol-
lowing test shall conform to 4.5.2.3.2.1, 4.5.2.3..2, 4.5.2.3.2.3 and

4.5.2.3.2.1 Orientation and mounting of the periscope. The special
testing equipment shall consist of a mounting plate assembly that incorporates
the necessary locating and locking features of the Mount Assembly 11834835.
The mounting plate assembly shall permit mounting and orienting the periscope
as specified in 3.11.9.  A test stand assembly, capable of positioning and
securing the mounting plate assembly with periscope shall be a part of the
test equipment.  Adjustments shall be provided on the test stand assembly to
permit orientation of Datum Plane "A" in a horizontal plane within 10
seconds.  The test equipment shall also consist of a device that is capable of
position- ing and solidly arresting Surface "C" of the periscope coupling, aS
shown on Drawing F10542204, 67 degrees 30 minutes 10 seconds with respect to
Datum Plane "A" of the mount. This device, subsequent to the above
positioning, shall also be capable of articulation of Surface "C" to any
angular position between its travel stops.  A front surface reflecting mirror,
capable of adjustment in all planes, mounted directly on the periscope
coupling position- ing device, shall be positioned so that the reflecting
surface of the reflect- ing mirror is in alinement with the line of sight
emitting from the objective end of the periscope.  A calibrated penta prism
shall be utilized in the line of sight between a viewing telescope and head
assebly.  When the head assembly (less body assembly) is inspected for the
requirements of 3.11.9.2 and 3.11.9.6, the testing equipment for the head
assembly tests shall be accurate within 5 seconds.
A target projector collimator, with a

clear aperture of at least 7 inches, with an appropriate test reticle pattern,
shall be a part of the test equipment.  The target projector collimator shall
be positioned and mounted so that the optical axis of the collimator is in
