4.5.3 Testing.  Testing is described in the first article and
quality conformance inspection tables.

4.5.4 Inspection equipment.
required to perform the inspections and tests prescribed in this
specification is identified in the "Paragraph  Reference/Inspection
column in the tables, starting with paragrphs 4.5.2.1 and test
methods paragraph (see 4.6). The contractor shall submit for
approval inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms
of the contract.  See MIL-W-63150 and 6.3 herein.
4.6 Inspection methods and procedures.  Any unit which fails
to comply with the specified requirements or evidences degradation
of its operational performance shall be classed defective. Test
equipment and procedures shall be satisfactory to the contracting
officer (see 4.5.4).
4.6.1 Materials, components and processes.  Compliance with
these requirements shall be ascertained by current and continuing
examination of inspection and test data to determine that all
components (parts, subassemblies and materials) have been
inspected and tested and found to comply with their respective
drawing and specification requirements, and that all specified
manufacturing processes have been followed.
4.6.1.1 Visual and mechanical inspection.  The visual, manual
and mechanical inspections and tests shall verify compliance with
the requirements of Sections 3 and 5 of the applicable drawing and
this specification in accordance with 4.5.2 and Table I.
4.6.2 Electronic performance test of the power module
assembly.  The power module shall be subjected to the electronic
performance tests in order to determine conformance to the
electronic performance characteristics specified on the applicable
drawing.  Test equipment and procedures shall be satisfactory to
the contracting agency.  If any power module assembly fails to
comply with any specified electronic performance requirement, it
shall be classed defective and rejected. Test equipment and
procedures shall be satisfactory to the contracting officer (see
4.5.4).
4.6.3 Environmental tests (first article only).
4.6.3.1 Environmental tests.  The tests shall be performed in
accordance with MIL-STD-810, Group IE.  Operating temperature
shall be as specified in 3.5.1.
