3.4.3 Vibration.- The quadrant shall show no evidence of physical
failure and shall meet the requirements of 3.6 after being subjected to
a vibration of 30 cycles per second at an amplitude of 1/16 inch (1/8
inch total excursion) for a period of 5 minutes + 15 seconds.
3.5 Alignment.- With the quadrant setup as shown on the respective
drawing, the mounting pad surfaces shall be in a vertical plane, the
key slots horizontal, the elevation and micrometer scales set at zero,
and the level bubble central with respect to its graduations.
3.6 Performance.
3.6.1 Accuracy.- At any setting between O and -200 mils depression,
and between O and +600 roils elevation, the error shall not exceed 1.0 roil,
excluding backlash.
3.6.2 Backlash.- Backlash in the elevation mechanism shall not
exceed 0.5 mil at any setting.
3.6.3 Level vial.- The level bubble shall remain central with
respect to its graduations within one-half graduation  (0.05-inch bubble
movement) when the quadrant is rotated 15 degrees about its horizontal
key slots, each side of its vertical position.
3.6.4 Torque.- Torque required to rotate the elevation micrometer
knob shall not exceed 5 pound inches at all temperatures specified in
3.4.1.

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in
the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the per-
formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as
otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his
own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspec-
tion requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government.
The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set
forth in the specification where such inspections are necessary to
assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
4.1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspection
requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the Quality Assurance Provi-
sions of this specification.  Definitions of Inspection terms shall be
as listed in MIL-STD-109.
4.2 First article (initial production) approval.- The requirement
for first article approval and the responsibility (Government or contrac-
tor) for first article testing shall be as specified in the contract.
