4.14 Sealing and purqing.
4 .14.1 S e a l i n g .
The quadrant shall be capable of withstand-
ing an internal pressure of 5 + 0.10 PSIG for a period of 1 hour
with no evidence-of leakage. Prior to the start-of the test, secure
valve in a closed position. Then pressurize the quadrant

with dry nitrogen as specified in 3.7.1. Accuracy of the test
equipment used for this test shall be equal to or exceed the
accuracies depicted on Pressure Test Drawing F8565556.
4.14.2 Purging. Connect the test equipment to the purging
valve of the quadrant. Adjust the dry nitrogen pressure to the
pressure specified in 3.7.2. The pressure is to remain constant
(8.0 + 1/4 psi] until the dewpoint of the emergent gas is no higher

than -25 F. Disconnect the purging apparatus and maintain the
internal pressure required for testing and delivery to meet the
requirements of 3.7.2.
Packaging inspection. The preservation, packing, and

marking shall be inspected to verify conformance to the requirements
of 5.1.

5.1 Packaqing, packing, and marking. Packaging, packing, and
marking shall be in accordance with MIL-P-14232 and Packaging
Data Sheet 11729530. The level of protection shall be as specified
in the procurement document.
