of the level vial. The level vial and graduation shall be clearly discern-

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY

5.1 Packaging, packing and marking.- Packaging, packing and marking
shall be in accordance with Packaging Data Sheet 11730915. The level of
protection shall be as specified in the procurement document.
6.
NOTES
6.1 Intended use.- The Quadrant Fire Control M14E1 is primarily
intended for laying the weapon in elevation for indirect fire. The
quadrant also incorporates a mechanism (telescope mount) for mounting and
boresighting the direct fire, Elbow Telescope M114E1 for direct fire.
When using the Elbow Telescope M114E1 for direct fire, the elevation
counter and correction counter remains at zero setting.
6.2 Ordering data.- Procurement documents should specify the
following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification
b.
Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packaging, and
packing
c. Applicable stock number
6.3 Radioactive material.- Prospective bidders should be cognizant of
the need for an Atomic Energy Commission license governing the procurement
and handling of radioactive material.
