PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.
5.1 Application. - The requirements of Section 5 apply only to direct
purchases by or direct shipments to the Government.
5.2 Preservation. - The use of preservation compounds is not required
for this equipment in preparing for shipment and storage.
5.3 Packaging and Packing. - The regulator shall be packaged and packed
for shipment in accordance with Specification MIL-P-7936 Level A, B, or C,
(see 6.3).
5.4 Marking of Shipments. - Interior packages and exterior shipping
containers shall be marked in accordance with Standard MIL-STD-129.
5.4.1 Reinspection Dates. - Unless otherwise specified, reinspection
markings shall be in accordance with ANA Bulletin No. 405.
NOTES
6.
6.1 Intended Use. - The high pressure air regulator covered by this
specification is for use on the high pressure side of portable air compressors
to regulate the delivery air of the compressors.
6.2 Ordering Data. - Procurement documents should specify the following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification
Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packing and
b.
packaging (See Section 5).
Where the preproduction test sample should be sent and instructions
concerning the submittal of the test report (See 4.1.3).
When government drawings, specifications, or other data
