MIL-R-23811(Wep)
4.4.3 Test and inspection equipment and facilities, The manufacturer shall furnish
and maintain all necessary test equipment, facilities, and personnel for performing
all acceptance tests. The test equipment shall be adequate in quantity, and, when
definite requirements are not specified, they shall be of sufficient accuracy and quality
to permit performance of the required acceptance tests.
4.4.4 Test procedure
4.4.4.1 All pin, terminal, plug, and connector numbers are given on BUWEPS
Drawing 2436236.
4.4.4.2 Insure that the recording oscillograph is firmly plugged into recording
component panel receptacle S71 and that oscillograph damping resistors are installed.
Remove the oscillograph film magazine and mount the viewing screen in place to show
channel traces.
4.4.4.3 Connect 24 volts dc (4.3.2) across terminals AA and BB, (positive to BB),
and insure that the oscillograph lamp is lighted. This 24 volt connection shall be kept
throughout the remainder of section 4.4.4.
4.4.4.4 Adjust and align, if necessary, all galvanometers traces so they appear
at the location shown by the engraved lines on the viewing screen.
4.4.4.5 Connect the 24 volt dc supply (4.3.2) through the 1.2 megohm resistor
(4. 3,3) to terminals A and B of P70 (A being positive). The channel 2 spot on the
oscillograph viewing screen shall deflect 1.1 inches plus or minus 25 percent toward
the channel 14 spot.
4.4.4.6 Disconnect the leads connected in 4.4.4.5 and apply a 400 cps, ac signal
of 10 volts (4.3.6) across terminals C and D of P70. The oscillograph channel 3
spot shall describe a line across the viewing screen 0.16 inch long plus or minus 25
percent.
4.4.4.7 connect terminal E of P70 to terminal D.
The line
traced by the channel 3 spot shall deflect 0.16 inch plus or minus 25 percent toward
the channel 14 spot.
4.4.4.8 Disconnect the ac lead to terminal D, leaving all other connections as in
4.4.4.7. Channel 3 shall revert to a spot, but shall remain displaced toward channel
14 as given in 4.4.4.7.
4.4.4.9 Disconnect the leads connected in 4.4.4.6 and 4.4.4.7.
4.4.4.10 Connect the 24 volt dc supply through 22,000 ohm resistor (4.3.5) to
terminals F and BB of P70 (BB being positive). The channel 4 spot, shall deflect
0.5 inch plus or minus 25 percent toward the channel 1 spot.
