MILITARY SPECIFICATION
RING BUOY, LIFESAVING, AUTO-INFLATABLE
This specification is approved for use within the Naval Sea Systems
Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 scope. This specification covers the requirements for a water-
activated, self-inflating ring buoy enclosed in a shell that is suitable for
throwing from a ship or aircraft to a victim in the sea.
2.

2.1.1 Specifications and standards. The following specifications and
standards form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein.
Unless otherwise specified, the issues of these documents shall be those
