selected, one from each launcher, shall be fired for each
closure of the wing stores trigger switch.  Inboard
launchers shall be fired first.  There shall be a 30 5
millisecond delay between the inboard and outboard pairs
with the inboard leading.  The time difference between
each pair of firing pulses shall not exceed 1 millisecond.
3.5.2.1.1.8.2 Sustained or continuous fire.  When 1,2,4,8 or
ALL firing pulses have been selected, the DU/RMS shall continue to
generate firing pulses up to the programmed number or until the
trigger is released.  If the volley is interrupted by release of
the trigger switch, reclosure of the trigger switch shall begin a
new firing cycle as programmed.
3.5.2.1.1.9 Rates of fire.  The DU/RMS shall have the
provisions to select a minimum of two rates of fire as follows:
3.5.2.1.1.9.1 Fast rate.  The time interval (period) between
single and groups of firing pulses shall be 60 +6 milliseconds for
conventional and M433 fuzed rounds, and 70 7 milliseconds for
M439 fuzed rounds.
3.5.2.1.1.9.2 Slow rate.  The time interval (period) between
single or groups of firing pulses shall be 180 18 milliseconds.
3.5.2.1.1.10 Inventory display.  An inventory display shall
be provided and shall consist of two sections:  a warhead/fuze
type indicator section and a quantity remaining indicator section.
3.5.2.1.1.10.1 Warhead/fuze type indicator section. The
settable at
warhead/fuze type indicator-switch section shall
the time the launchers are loaded to indicate the type of warhead/
fuze combinations loaded.
3.5.2.1.1.10.2 Quantity remaining indicator section. The
quantity remaining indicator section shall provide a numerical
display of the number of functional rockets remaining. The
display shall indicate the correct quantity of functional rockets
remaining regardless of the sequence in which the rockets were
loaded or launched and shall be automatically updated in less the
50 milliseconds after each firing cycle.  Momentary power
interruptions (as defined in MIL-STD-704A) shall not cause
erroneous displays.  An accurate count of warhead/fuze type
remaining shall be automatically displayed when power is applied
after power shutdown or power loss.  The display digits shall be
visible and readable with direct sunlight shining through the
cockpit canopy on the display panel.
