3.6.1.5 Fungus.  Operating, nonoperating and storage after
being subjected to fungus specified below:

3.6.1.6 Explosive atmosphere.  Operation in explosive vapor
within or surrounding the equipment.
3.6.1.7 Rain.  The RMS Operations Unit shall operate without
degradation of specified performance and shall sustain no physical
damage during periods of heavy precipitation.
3.6.1.8 Service environment.  The system shall be designed
and constructed to withstand the service environment as specified
in MIL-E-5400 for Class 1A equipment.
3.6.1.8.1 Vibration.  The equipment shall not sustain damage
or subsequently fail to provide specified performance when
subjected to the vibration environment defined by MIL-E-5400,
Figure 2, (Sheet 1), Curve III.
3.6.1.8.2 Shock.  The equipment shall meet the shock
requirements of MIL-E-5400.  The requirements of MIL-E-5400 for
mounting hardware crash safety shall only apply to the units
mounted inside the cockpit.
3.6.1.8.2.1 Bench handling.
The equipment shall withstand
shock environments encountered in maintenance and servicing.
3.7 Weight.  The weight of the RMS including DU/RMS and four
OU/RMS boxes shall be 16.88 pounds maximum.
3.8 Identification and marking.  Each component of the RMS
shall be identified and marked in accordance with MIL-STD-130.
3.8.1 Identification plates.  An identification (ID) plate
per MIL-P-15024 shall be securely attached to each DU/RMS and
OU/RMS.  The ID plate shall be designed and attached to last the
anticipated lifetime of the unit under the environmental
conditions to which it will be subjected.  Information on each ID
plate shall as a minimum include the following:
Contract number
FSN or NSN
Nomenclature
