6.3 Alternate test methods. Prior approval of the Contracting
Officer is required for use of equivalent test mehtods. A
description of the proposed method should be submitted thru the
Contracting Officer to: Commander, US Army Armament Research and
Development Command, ATTN: DRDAR-QAR-I, Dover, New Jersey 07801.
This description should include but not be limited to the procedures
used, the accuracy and precision of the method, test data to
demonstrate the accuracy and precision and drawings of any special
equipment required.
6.4 Hand firing. Personnel hand firing signals after cold
temperature conditioning should wear protective gloves and other
suitable protective clothing.
6.5 Drawings. Drawings listed in Section 2 of this
specification under the heading, "US ARMY ARMAMENT RESERACH AND
DEVELOPMENT COMMAND (ARRADCOM)" may also include drawings prepared
by and identified as Edgewood Aresenal, Frankford Arsenal, Rock
Island Arsenal or Picatinny Arsenal drawings. Technial data
originally prepared by these activities is now under cognizance of
ARRADCOM.
6.6 Changes from previous issue. Asterisks are not used in
this revision to identify changes with repsect to the previous
issue, due to the extensiveness of the changes.
