fluid shall be u s e d . At the end of the teat period, the low specific gravity test
shall be performed in accordance with 4.6.3.1.
4.6.16.5 Contamination fuel.-
The contaminated fuel endurance test shall be
conducted at room temperature using a suitable test fluid and contaminant as
specified in MIL-F-8615. The test fluid and contaminant shall be circulated. At
the end of the test period, the low specific gravity test shall be performed in
accordance with 4.6.3.1
uid dynamic loading - That portion of the float switch projecting

into the fuel and subjected to fluid force as a result of fuel movement shall be
tested as follows: A mechanically simulated fluid loading of 5 psi of projected
area shall be alternately applied on opposite sides of the projecting member normal
to the major axis at a rate of 12 cycles per minute for a 10-hour period. At the
end of the test period, there shall be no evidence of failure or distortion and the
low specific gravity test shell be performed in accordance with 4.6.3.1.
